Big Y Results & Matches Introduction

The Big Y is a Y-chromosome direct paternal line test. We have designed it to explore deep ancestral links on our common paternal tree. This test examines thousands of known branch markers as well as millions of places where there may be new branch markers.

Accessing Big Y Results & Matches 

You can access Big Y Results & Matches pages from your dashboard or from your navigation bar.

  1. To access from your navigation bar: 
    1. Sign in to your kit.
    2. On the navigation bar at the top of the page, go to Results & Tools > Big Y > Results or Results & Tools > Big Y > Matches.
  2. To access from your dashboard:
    1. Sign in to your kit.
    2. On your dashboard, locate the Big Y section in the column of results. 
      NOTE: This may appear differently depending on the test type(s) on the kit.
    3. Click the Results button or the Big Y Matches button in the Big Y Section.
