Using the Admin - Unpaid Product Tool

The Unpaid Products tool lists project members’ orders that have not been paid in full. It also allows the project administrator to apply General Fund payments to these products.

Accessing the Unpaid Product Tool

To access this page:

  1. Sign in to your GAP account by entering your Project Administrator username and password.
  2. On the navigation bar, hover your cursor over Project Admin and click Unpaid Product on the drop-down menu.


    In the lower section of your GAP dashboard, in the Project Administration section, click Unpaid Product.
    You are directed to the Unpaid Product Tool.

Controls and Columns

The Unpaid Products tool contains the following columns:


  • General Fund Balance – This lists the current total in the Project General Fund.
  • Name – Name of the project member provided on the project member’s FamilyTreeDNA Account Settings Contact Information tab.
  • Product Name – Product (test) that has been ordered.
  • Product Price – Amount owed for the test. All prices are listed in USD.
  • Make Payment – Click this icon to display the details of the unpaid product. This page contains the following controls:

    • A Total of $  – Enter the amount to be deducted from the project general fund.
      • Note: For partial payments from the general fund you will need to contact the group projects team at
    • Pay  – Click this button to pay for the unpaid product.
    • Cancel  – Click this button to cancel the transaction.
