Paying DHL Shipment Related Fees

DHL may charge duties or customs fees depending on the shipping destination for your kit(s). These fees are NOT included in your shipping and handling fee from FamilyTreeDNA. 

To pay the shipment-related fees using the DHL tracking page instructions below, you will first need to contact FamilyTreeDNA Customer Service by phone or chat. 

IMPORTANT: Contacting us first is essential because the payment code you receive will expire after 15 minutes.

  1. Visit the DHL tracking page, and enter the tracking number for your item.

  2. Click the link Please pay your duty and taxes here.

  3. Enter your Waybill number (tracking number) and click Submit.

  4. Click Send Passcode.
  5. Alert us immediately once you click "Send Passcode" and tell us the masked E-mail Address that appears so that we may search for the code.

  6. We will provide the code for you to finalize the payment. Please let us know once it is processed.
