Accessing Your Family Tree

FamilyTreeDNA offers two ways to view and manage your family tree: Your MyHeritage Tree Connection and our read-only FamilyTreeDNA Tree. Your tree can be managed in the Genealogy page of your Account Settings.

Navigating To Your Family Tree

To access your Family Tree from your dashboard:

1. Sign in to your kit.
2. In the upper-right corner of the dashboard, hover your cursor over your name/Kit Number.
3. Click Account Settings from the drop-down menu
4. Click on Genealogy page
5. You are directed to the Family Tree tab of the Genealogy Page.

Different Page Layouts

This page will have different options on it depending on whether or not you have connected your tree to MyHeritage.

If you have connected with MyHeritage, you will see this:

If you have not connected your tree to MyHeritage, you will see this:

From this page you may either connect with MyHeritage or view your read-only tree.

NOTE: The Family Tree button found under the Additional Tests & Tools section and the navigation bar at the your dashboard (as noted in the diagram below) will take you to a separate page to View your FamilyTreeDNA Tree, Manage your MyHeritage tree connection, or build a new tree on MyHeritage, depending on what tree you have associated with your kit. If you do NOT have a tree, clicking either of those places will take you to a page where you can start that process.
