The Member Information report displays the project’s members with their kit number, email address, and other kit information.
Accessing the Member Information Report
To access this page:
- Sign in to your GAP account by entering your Project Administrator username and password.

On the navigation bar, hover your cursor over Reports > Member Reports, and click Member Information on the drop-down menu.
OR
In the lower section of your GAP dashboard, in the Member Reports section, click Member Information.
Controls and Columns
The Member Information page contains the following information and tools:
- Show/Hide Advanced Filter – Click to display additional filter options, including Kit Number, Name, Email, Note, and Release
- Export Spreadsheet – Click to export the Member Information table to a comma-separated value (CSV) spreadsheet.

Page Size - Adjusts the number of members displayed per page.
NOTE: Increasing the size of members displayed on each page may result in slow loading times. If you are experiencing difficulty with loading times, try reducing the page size. - Project Selection – If you are an administrator or co-administrator for more than one project, use this drop-down menu to toggle between different projects.
- Kit Number filter - Narrows the member list by a specific genetic kit identification number.
- Name – Allows you to filter/search the table by member name.
- Email – Allows you to filter/search the table by email address. This can include primary and secondary emails.

Note – Allows you to filter/search the table by keywords found in notes. These notes include those made by yourself or fellow Administrators or Co-Administrators.
Note: Notes made by administrators or co-administrators are visible to each other, but NOT to project members. Notes made by project members on their match list are visible for administrators with Limited or Advanced Access. - Release Filter – This refers to the Release form that is included in the test collection kit. The release form is needed to process the member's DNA sample and post results.
- Run Filter – Click to filter your matches based on the criteria entered in the Kit Number, Name, Email, Note, or Release fields.
- Page Number Navigation – Moves to other pages of results in the member list.
- Kit Number – Project member’s kit number that was assigned with their first order. You may click on the kit number to view their results if they have set their Account Settings Project Preferences Group Administrator Access level to either Limited or Advanced.

Family Tree – Clicking this icon directs you to your match's family tree. There are two options:

- Name – Name of the project member provided on the project member’s FamilyTreeDNA account Contact Information tab.
- Email – The email address(es) provided by the project member.

Notes – This tab displays notes made by you or fellow administrators or co-administrators. These notes are not visible to your matches.
Note: Notes ARE visible to Group Project Administrators to whom you have granted Limited or Advanced Access.
See Group Project Administrator Access Levels and Permissions for more details. - Release column – This refers to the Release form that is included in the test collection kit. The release form is needed to process the member's DNA sample and post results.
- Kit Back column – Displays the date the kit sample was received at the lab or the status if not received.
- Last Sign In column – Displays the date the member last logged into the website.
- Access Granted column – Shows the level of access the member has given you to view their personal results.
- Allows MyHeritage Connection column – Displays whether the member permits connecting their FamilyTreeDNA account to MyHeritage.
- Publicly Share DNA Results column – Shows whether the member allows their DNA results to be shared publicly.

Share Coding Region column – Shows whether the member permits sharing the coding region portion of their DNA with administrators
NOTE: These results are not visible to project members and are treated confidentially. -
Remove From Group Column – Clicking the trashcan icon in this column Deletes the member's kit from your group administration project.
NOTE: To remove this person, you must give a reason. Your reason will be included in an email notification sent to them. Please enter your reason, and click the Remove User button to complete the removal.
Each column may be sorted in ascending or descending order. To sort in ascending order (A->Z or 1->10), click on the column name once. To sort in descending order (Z->A or 10->1), click on the column name twice.
Removing a Member from Your Project
To remove a project member:
- On the Remove From Group column, click the trash can item located in the same row as the person that you want to remove from your group. The Remove user field is displayed.
- In the Remove user field, enter a brief reason for why you want to remove this person from your group.
- Click Remove User to remove the person from your group, or click Cancel to not remove the person.
An email will be sent from info@familytreedna.com to the individual.
