Opting in to and out of IGGM

You can opt in and out of Investigative Genetic Genealogy Matching (IGGM) on the Privacy & Sharing page in Account Settings. 

Opting in to IGGM 

It is important to note that you must be opted in to matching before you can opt in to Investigative Genetic Genealogy Matching (IGGM). Click here to learn more about opting in to matching. 

To opt in to IGGM: 

1. Sign in to your kit.
2. In the upper-right corner of the page, hover your cursor over your name/Kit No., and click Account Settings from the drop-down menu.
   You are directed to Account Settings.
3. At the top of Account Settings, click Privacy & Sharing.
   You are directed to the Privacy & Sharing page. 
4. In the Matching Preferences section, click the Opt in to IGGM toggle switch (it will turn blue).

Opting out of IGGM 

If you are opted in to IGGM and want to opt out: 

1. Sign in to your kit.
2. In the upper-right corner of the page, hover your cursor over your name/Kit No., and click Account Settings from the drop-down menu.
   You are directed to Account Settings.
3. At the top of Account Settings, click Privacy & Sharing.
   You are directed to the Privacy & Sharing page. 
4. In the Matching Preferences section, click the Opt in to IGGM toggle switch is selected (it will turn gray).
