If you have opted into matching, you can access your list of genetic matches in the Matches pages of your particular test type(s). Regardless of the type of match (Y-DNA, mtDNA, or Family Finder), clicking on the match name in your match list will display a Match Profile Card as a pop-up window.
Reading the Match Profile Card
The Match Profile Card contains the following sections:
- Name - Name of match
- Profile - Toggles between the Profile Tab and Notes Tab.
- Note - This tab displays your private notes for this match. These notes are not visible to your matches.
- Email - The email address provided by the match.

Paternal Earliest Known Ancestor - Lists the name, birthdate, and/or country of origin provided by your match as their most distant known direct paternal ancestor.

Maternal Earliest Known Ancestor - Lists the name, birthdate, and/or country of origin provided by your match as their most distant known direct maternal ancestor.

Haplogroup - The Y-DNA and/or mtDNA haplogroup for your match.
Note: This information is only displayed if your match has opted into Y-DNA or mtDNA matching. -
