- Page Size – This is the number of results that will be displayed on each page of the comparison table.
- These check boxes serve multiple purposes
- Show All Columns – This option is selected by default. By unclicking the check box it will only display the first 12 markers for project members.
- Show Subgroups – Toggles on and off subgroup headers.
- Show Colorized - Highlights marker values that differ from the mean, median, or mode of the subgroup. See Understanding the Admin Y-DNA Results Overview Report article for more details.
- Show min/max/mode – Toggles on and off the minimum, maximum, and modal values for the subgroup. See the Understanding the Admin Y-DNA Results Overview Report article for more details.
- Show non-STR members – Toggles on and off members who have a haplogroup but no STR testing such as Family Finder or autosomal transfer haplocaller results.
- Printer Friendly – Adjusts the formatting to improve printing results.
- Export Spreadsheet – Click to export the Y-DNA Results Results Overview report to a .csv spreadsheet.
-
Show Advanced Filter – Click to display the following fields:
- Kit Number – Allows you to filter/search the table by member kit number.
- Name – Allows you to filter/search the table by name of the project member provided on the project member’s FamilyTreeDNA Account Settings Contact Information tab.
- Country – Allows you to filter by the customer-reported paternal country of origin.
- Haplogroup – Allows you to filter by haplogroup. This filter works by full haplogroup name (eg. R-M269) and SNP name (eg. M269.)
- Highlighter Icon – This allows you to highlight an individual row to more easily follow the results along the columns.
- Kit Number – Project member’s kit number that was assigned with their first order. You may click on the kit number to view their results if they have set their Account Settings Project Preferences Group Administrator Access level to either Limited or Advanced.
- Name – Lists project member’s names. This column is only visible through GAP, it is not on the public website.
- Paternal Ancestor Name – The known name of the earliest known direct paternal ancestor as provided by the project member on their Earliest Known Ancestors tab. If the project member has not entered this information, this column is blank.
- Country – Paternal country of origin associated with the project member as provided on the member’s Earliest Known Ancestors tab. If the project member has not entered this information, Unknown Origin is displayed in this column.

Haplogroup – This is the project member’s Y-DNA haplogroup. Confirmed haplogroups (from SNP testing) are listed in green while predicted haplogroups (from STR testing) are listed in red.
NOTE: Family Finder and autosomal transfer haplogroup results are confirmed SNP tests, but do not have STR results. -
Test – Lists the type and level of testing for the project member.
NOTE: The test listed in this column is the one that has provided the most refined haplogroup. For example, someone with a Y-37 test who has a confirmed haplogroup through Family Finder will have "Family Finder" displayed in this column. - STR Results –These are the results from standard Y-DNA tests.
