- DNA Painter – A website for genealogists who have taken an autosomal DNA test and wish to correlate matches with ancestors by painting matching DNA segments. The site hosts a variety of tools that can help determine how you and your DNA matches are related to each other.
- Genetic Affairs – Provides advanced genetic tools and services that automate the analysis of DNA matches, cluster results, and create visual family trees. Their tools help users efficiently explore their genetic ancestry and make sense of complex DNA connections.
- ISOGG YBrowse – A tool for finding chromosome positions and mutation details for Y-DNA SNPs and STRs.

SAPP – A tool created by Dave Vance that uses SNP and STR results for a group of testers along with traditional genealogy information to model the most likely patrilineal relationships between that group of kits based on all available data.
- Scaled Innovations – Offers SNP Tracker which maps Y and mtDNA SNPs over time, British-Irish Mapper which matches surnames and SNPs to census data for detailed mapping and demography, Y Clustering which clusters and analyzes large Y STR datasets, SNP Tree Explorer, for Y and mt haplotree and surname analysis, and utilities for FTDNA project admins. Y-DNA Family Grouping App - A free app that uses the Y-DNA STR results for a surname project to (1) suggest groups of kits that probably share a common male ancestor within the genealogical time frame or, at least, the surname era for the applicable surname, and (2) show the genetic distances and relational distances between any individual project kit and each other kit in the project.
